Bracken Hill Pheasantries - Castlesteads Shoot Information

Experience the true enjoyment of a day’s shooting in a relaxed, non commercial atmosphere, well organised and with unforgettable sport; plenty of birds, several high pheasant and partridge drives.

Castlesteads shoot is located near Brampton, Carlisle and is easily accessible from both the M6 and A69. Castlesteads estate is approximately 2600 acres, situated in the rolling Cumbrian countryside with the historic Hadrians Wall running through the estate.

Days are hosted in a relaxed atmosphere, with hospitality provided in our shoot room. Guns meet at the shoot room for coffee at 9.15 am for a 9.30 start, weather dependant, a meal is either provided at lunch time or at the end of the shooting day. After 2 drives light refreshments are served in the field.

The topography of Castlesteads produces birds to test the most experienced sportsmen and women. Non shooting guests are welcome and I am sure they would enjoy the scenery and the days sport.

Days can be tailored from 50 - 300 bird days, predominately being pheasants from October onwards but a few partridge add a pleasant addition if required. Our dedicated team will welcome you and provide an excellent days sport.

We would be happy to help with accommodation, close by are many nice properties ranging from homely B&B’s, self catering cottages, hotels and stately homes.
